Educational Seminars:
Wine Basics 101
Wednesday, January 12th, 7:00-9:00 pm
$30/person (paid in advance and prior to 9/6/10)

This seminar is a basic lesson in how to: remember wine names, understand and order from a wine list, start your own wine cellar, and pair wines with popular foods - taught by Jay Roelof, our Director of Education, with a special focus on reasonably priced, varietal wines. Four to five flights of wines are poured, each representing the most well known red and white wine grapes, and sliced cheese, bread and sausage are served. After the seminar, Jay and the staff will help you purchase wines at 20% off and you will receive, at no extra charge, our recommended wine basics book "The Wine Bible" a $20 value! Or, instead, for an additional $10 you can receive our recommended book on pairing food and wine "What To Eat With What You Drink" - a $35 value! Or receive both books for an additional $20 (a $55 value)!

If you are interested in attending this popular seminar, please give us a call at 914-962-3100, or come into the store, to sign up and pay the attendance fee in advance. That is the only way to insure that your seats will be reserved. Registration for these Wednesday evening seminars must take place prior to the Monday preceding the seminar.
NOTE: Next Wednesday evening Wine Basics 101 Seminar will be - February 9th, 7:00 to 9:00 pm
(p.s. if you attend any of these seminars, please refrain from wearing cologne or perfume. It will increase others' ability to assess the wines being served.)
